A, My Name is Alice and I like Apples!

In class we read the book A My Name is Alice and then created a picture of ourselves.  We wrote about what we liked.  Some caught on to the story and thought of something that began with the letter of their name.  This is a difficult concept for the beginning of the year in kindergarten!  I loved how they created everything completely on their own...nothing was pre-cut or drawn for them!  They showed their uniqueness in each tiny bit of detail, from the strands of hair, to the red lips!  These portraits are keep sakes for sure!
