Each student completed a "first day in kindergarten paper", drawing them selves and writing their name. We talked about how we should add details to our picture: such as clothes, hair color, shoes, jewelry. Things that would define ourselves from others. I modeled this activity by drawing myself as we talked. I quite enjoyed how they reminded me of my green toenail polish...mind you I am NOT an artist! So, I ended up looking monsterish, which brought about many giggles!

I watched many scrunched eyebrows, as they worked diligently on bringing out details of themselves. I was extremely proud of their hard work and effort! I'm sure you would agree that you could spot them in a crowd using only their work as your guide!
